Problem Statement

Students with special needs who transit from Special Education (SPED) schools to mainstream higher education may face challenges adapting to a new learning and social environment. They may require additional support to build confidence, develop social connections and navigate academic life independently.

Solution

Aptitude Buddy Club is a befriending and training programme for students with disabilities enrolled in ITE College West. Through peer support, structured activities, and skills development opportunities, the programme helps participants strengthen their functional and social skills that they require in daily life to become independent adults.
